Our story.Planted in 2021.
A young church with an old-fashioned message, right here in Lafayette.
Jesus saves. That's our story.
Gospel Light held its first service on August 1, 2021. It began as a church plant with a simple goal: preach the Gospel in Lafayette and build a church where people grow in the Lord together.
Since then God has added families, saved souls and filled our building with people of every age. We're an independent Baptist church, and our message is the same one Baptists have preached for generations.
Meet Pastor Jake & Ariel
Pastor Jake Weido and his wife, Ariel, lead Gospel Light with a heart for God's Word and for reaching Lafayette with the Gospel. They'd love to meet you and your family.
